Princeton Hydro was recognized by the New Jersey League of Conservation Voters (NJLCV) with the first-ever “Sustainability Award” at the 7th annual Green Tie Gala. The gala celebrates pro-environment legislative successes and honors those who have helped make those achievements a reality. Princeton Hydro was chosen for its commitment to a sustainable future in New Jersey, integrating sustainability in everyday life, and making sustainability more accessible to the public.
“Princeton Hydro is honored to receive NJLCV’s inaugural Sustainability Award. Our firm is committed to improving our ecosystems, quality of life, and communities for the better, and we share many of the same values as NJLCV and its supporters. Both internally and externally, we aim to integrate environmental stewardship and sustainability into our work, from reducing our carbon footprint in our offices to designing resilient, nature-based solutions in New Jersey neighborhoods and beyond,” said Princeton Hydro President, Geoffrey Goll, P.E. “We appreciate New Jersey LCV’s dedication to protecting the environment in the Garden State and thank you for selecting Princeton Hydro for this prestigious award.”
Over 150 guests attended the virtual gala, which helped to raise a record setting $62,000. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy delivered the keynote and the cast of Broadway’s Jagged Little Pill gave a theatrical performance.
NJLCV gave awards to a variety of environmental organizations and advocates dedicated to protecting New Jersey’s natural resources. They recognized and presented awards to the following individuals and organizations:
The Emerald Award, for outstanding devotion to the protection of New Jersey’s precious air, water, and open space:
The Founders Award, for outstanding leadership, vision, and devoted service to the success of NJLCV:
Changemaker Award, for making an incomparable difference for New Jersey’s environment in your community and the lives of others:
“We are so grateful to our supporters who took the time to join us this year to support the important work we are doing to ensure all New Jerseyans have safe drinking water, clean air, and open space no matter their zip code,” said Ed Potosnak, Executive Director, of the New Jersey League of Conservation Voters. “Educating the public about the environment and holding our elected officials accountable matters, and that’s why having events like this to raise the needed funding are so important.”
NJLCV is the statewide political voice for the environment. NJLCV elects environmentally responsible candidates to state and local offices, advocates for strong environmental policies, and holds elected officials accountable to safeguard the health of our communities, the beauty of our state, and the strength of our economy.
