Rich is a licensed Professional Engineer and Certified Floodplain Manager with more than a decade of experience in water resources engineering. His expertise includes hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, stormwater management and green infrastructure design, floodplain and drainage studies, stream restoration, and inspection of stormwater facilities such as LID practices, ponds, and dams. Rich holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a minor in environmental science from the University of Virginia.
Rich is committed to improving water quality and protecting ecosystems. His work emphasizes sustainable engineering practices that reduce flooding risks, restore natural ecological functions, and enhance habitats for wildlife while supporting resilient communities. He is especially passionate about integrating green infrastructure and ecological restoration into engineering projects, ensuring that solutions benefit both people and the environment.
Outside of engineering, Rich enjoys traveling and hiking—adventures have taken him to Patagonia and Mount Everest’s base camp—and he remains active in the Philadelphia theater community as a performer, director, and designer, building on his award-winning work in the D.C. metro area.
